What happens if I fall behind in my claims during an assignment?

Stay ahead.  Don’t fall behind or you will get buried.  Independent Adjusters are paid for the claims they prepare and close.  When you deploy to the field for an assignment, you are representing the IA firm and the client in question.  If you cannot keep up with your claims you risk being sent home.  Claims must be prepared quickly and accurately and the adjuster must demonstrate the highest level of customer service at all times.  Failure to do so will result in being cut from an assignment and rejection of future opportunities with that firm and client.  Successful adjusters have excellent administrative and follow-through skills and understand that self-motivation will create a profitable and enjoyable future for themselves.  Unsuccessful adjusters will waste their time and money and find themselves not working when successful adjusters are working consistently.
