Eight hour classroom and workshop training course tailored for novice to experienced property adjusters or insurance professionals seeking to learn how to safely and effectively climb, measure, and examine roofs with excessive pitch.  Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to understand and apply the learned information to succeed in the adjusting and estimating industry as a certified steep and tall adjuster.  Recommended for any adjuster working Field Property Claims.  TDI Course #24797

 

You will learn the following:

  • Climbing Equipment
  • Ropes (types, care, knots)
  • Climbing Techniques
  • Anchors
  • Climbing Commands
  • Belay Responsibilities
  • Ladder Safety

* This course is approved by the Texas Department of Insurance for 8.0 Continuing Education credit hours for the licensed adjuster.

** Prerequisite:  (for adjusters only) Previous field adjusting experience or completion of a Basic Adjusting 101 course.

You will need the following for class:

  • Tape measure (25ft or longer)
  • Clipboard
  • Climbing shoes or boots
  • Gloves
  • Writing utensil
  • Proper dress code: business casual (no jeans, shorts, graphic t-shirts or open-toed shoes)

This 1-day course is offered quarterly.
